Meet Ernie, a wonderful 8-year-old Pit Bull/Cattle Dog mix currently in a foster home in Houston, TX. This chill and goofy gentleman weighs around 63 lbs and is ready to find his forever home! Rescued from a busy street, Ernie jumped right into his foster mom's car, showcasing his friendly personality. Despite being microchipped, his previous owner chose not to reclaim him, leaving Ernie eager for a new family to love. Ernie gets along famously with every human and pet he meets. His foster believes he would thrive in a home with children and has shown that he is great with dogs of all sizes. He keeps an eye on the resident cat at his foster home and seems curious but calm around her. While he’s housebroken and walks well on a leash, Ernie isn't a fan of crating and prefers to stay close to his humans, often following them from room to room. He may be a senior dog, but Ernie has plenty of love and joy to share. Ideally, he would fit well into any loving home, whether it’s with kids, older adults, or even first-time dog owners.
