Mabel is a 2.5-year-old pit bull mix, currently being fostered in Houston, Texas. This lovely girl weighs 64 pounds, is spayed, and fully vaccinated. Once matched with an approved adopter, she'll be ready for transport to her forever home. Mabel has had a rough start, found abandoned and scared, but she’s incredibly sweet and loves people. Her favorite activities include snuggling, giving kisses, and enjoying car rides. Visitors are quickly turned into friends, and she has a special bond with children, particularly her foster family's autistic son, with whom she is exceptionally gentle. While Mabel enjoys playing with other medium to large dogs, she does get a bit overzealous at times. She's learning leash manners and would do best in a home without cats. Mabel likes to be near her humans when left unsupervised and appreciates a cozy spot to curl up. She prefers not to be crated and enjoys sleeping next to her people.
