Aardvark is a young, medium-sized female Black and Tan Coonhound. She is house trained and has a lovely short coat featuring black and tan colors. Currently, she is not spayed or vaccinated. Aardvark is located in Petersburg, VA.

About Aardvark

Aardvark is a delightful companion. As soon as you touch her, she leans into you, soaking up every scratch and affection. About a year old, she sports a striking black coat with tan legs and a tan face, featuring dark markings around her eyes and ears that fold slightly at the tips. Aardvark is long-legged and lean, still maturing into her full frame. This girl truly shines around other dogs. Aardvark absolutely loves their company and would thrive in a home with another dog or with someone who enjoys taking her out to meet new furry friends. She’s sweet with people, preferring to be by your side rather than across the room. However, she does tend to get overly excited when spotting other dogs, often pulling hard on the leash. For this reason, Aardvark is seeking a home that can commit to further leash training. As she arrived as a stray, we don’t know how she gets along with children or cats. To meet her, please schedule an appointment at the shelter. They’re open Monday through Friday from 12 PM to 4 PM, with other hours possible depending on volunteer availability.
