AvailableSweetie is a young, spayed female husky mix. At just over a year old, she falls into the large size category. Living in Troy, MI, she is house trained and well-behaved. Sweetie loves children, gets along with dogs, and is not bothered by cats. While she has not shown signs of aggression, she is currently going through heartworm treatment, which her new family will not need to cover.

Meet Sweetie! Don't let her husky looks deceive you. Sweetie is a calm, cuddly sweetheart. At just over a year old, she's starting to mellow out, boasting a moderate energy level perfect for various homes. Running through a field with her dog friends is her happy place, as she adores both big and small dogs. After playtime, she settles right down. Sweetie is also a fantastic hiking or running companion and travels well in the car. Living with Sweetie is a joy. She’s fully crate trained and loves her crate, staying calm and quiet whether it’s bedtime or you’re out for the day. She’s potty trained, waits patiently by the door, doesn’t chew or bark, and shows no signs of separation anxiety. She knows several commands like sit, down, and touch, and walks nicely on a leash without pulling. Sweetie is gentle with kids and friendly with critters. She has been around children as young as 6 months and adores them all. With a submissive nature, she has never shown any aggression. Cats don’t bother her either, and she's lived alongside goats and chickens with only occasional playful chases. While a bit shy at first, especially around loud men, she warms up quickly and becomes friendly once comfortable. When she trusts you, she’ll follow you everywhere. Interestingly, despite her breed, she's very quiet and has never even howled!
