About Penelope
Penelope is a remarkable cat who came to Good Mews after suffering a leg injury that necessitated an amputation. This brave girl quickly adapted to her foster environment, showcasing her sweet personality and affectionate nature. Initially timid, she eventually blossomed, enjoying gentle pets and offering head bumps in return. Although she prefers sitting at your feet rather than being held, she appreciates the comfort of close company. During her foster stay, she developed a special bond with an older Siamese cat, happily rubbing against him even though he wasn't interested in play. Penelope has not been exposed to dogs, and her interactions with children have been limited. She thrives in a nurturing atmosphere, adjusting well despite her amputation, effectively climbing, jumping, and using her litter box. Wand toys and catnip toys are her favorites, and she finds joy in watching wildlife from her foster’s screened-in porch.
