About Sage
Sage is a lovely 4-year-old Basset Hound who faced challenges as her family situation evolved. Her family recognized that the restricted life she was leading for the sake of peace wasn't healthy for her, so they reached out to Suncoast Basset Rescue Inc. for assistance. Currently, Sage is staying with an experienced foster family as we work through her medical needs. She’s overdue for a vet visit and will also need to be spayed. We’re excited to discover more about this gentle girl as she settles in with her foster pack and begins her new chapter. In addition to her sweetness, Sage has a name with meaning; the herb sage derives from the Latin "salvus," which means "healthy" or "safe." She’s on the right path to embodying both!
