After losing the use of his back legs, he came to Suncoast Basset Rescue, where he underwent spinal surgery just two days later. His family loved him dearly but had to surrender him due to the high cost of specialized medical care. Although his journey is challenging, Oscar is determined to regain his mobility through physical therapy. The team is optimistic that he’ll learn to walk again, even if his gait is a bit wobbly. Oscar is a delightful companion who gets along well with his foster sisters—unless they race past him! He adores squeaky toys and still tries to chase the lizards that wander onto the patio. His joyful spirit is contagious, lifting up everyone around him. While he has more medical care ahead, including dental work and neuter surgery, his focus remains on progress.
