At just one month old, she’s already made a splash with her lively spirit and charming nature. As a double merle, Pippa was born deaf, which led her and her sister to be surrendered by their breeder. Thankfully, she doesn’t let her lack of hearing hold her back. Pippa embraces life fully and is ready to learn all the essential puppy skills. Being deaf presents unique challenges, but Pippa is highly capable of learning using hand signals, visual cues, and consistent routines. We’re looking for a dedicated adopter who has experience with deaf dogs or is committed to learning how to meet her special needs. As a brachycephalic breed mix, potential adopters should be aware of the considerations that come with flat-faced breeds, including the need for careful monitoring during exercise and warm weather. Pippa is still a puppy, so her new family must be ready for house training, crate training, socialization, teething, and the typical antics of a growing pup. Pippa would thrive in a home with older, dog-savvy children who can engage with her innovative ways of learning. While she is sociable, her playful puppy energy will require careful management around more senior dogs. This affectionate little girl can be your companion in fun and adventures. She can be adopted under a foster-to-adopt arrangement until her spay surgery at six months of age is complete. Pippa comes with all age-appropriate vaccinations, is microchipped, and will be spayed at one of our designated veterinary partners, as included in the adoption fee.
