Meet Smeef! This 3-year-old, 20-pound French Bulldog mix is living her best life after being rescued from a puppy mill and brought to Dogworks. She’s now experiencing love for the first time and is fully embracing her new role as a cherished pet. Smeef radiates affection and is friendly to everyone she encounters. Her favorite pastime is curling up on the couch with her humans, though she enjoys playful chases with her dog companions in her foster home. She gets along well with both dogs and cats, making her a great addition to a multi-pet household. While Smeef is more of a couch potato and prefers a more relaxed lifestyle, she requires special care during warmer weather; long walks can be challenging for her due to her breathing, so she does best in cooler temperatures. She isn't fully house trained yet, relying on pee pads for now, and her new family will need to help her improve in this area. Smeef also experiences some separation anxiety, necessitating a secure crate when left alone. Expect some enthusiastic greetings when you return home! Smeef can be a bit possessive with toys around other dogs, so managing playtime is essential. While she doesn’t need a fenced yard, she’s already accustomed to leash walks and loves them.
