Meet Hooch, a friendly and loving Pit Bull Terrier who may not see much, but that doesn’t stop him from embracing life to the fullest. Although he has little to no vision and can unintentionally give off some conflicting signals to other dogs, Hooch thrives in a predictable environment. He really should be the only dog in the home to avoid any misunderstandings. Hooch is great with older kids (15+) who can move slowly and respect his space. Experience with blind dogs isn’t necessary; just a willingness to learn will suffice. Hooch enjoys active playtime in a fenced area but also appreciates the quiet moments spent with his favorite humans. He may pull excitedly on the leash, so some training in loose-leash walking would do him good. Regular exercise and mental stimulation like food puzzles and games are essentials to keep him happy and engaged.
