He can be defensive and reactive, a result of having to compete for basic resources in his previous environment. However, we've noticed significant improvements in how he responds to other dogs, and he continues to learn that he is safe and well cared for. For a successful transition, Rex would do best as the only dog in his new home or with an experienced adopter who can introduce him to other dogs slowly and carefully. He gets along well with cats and children, making him a great fit for a family ready to provide structure and stability.
