Though he occasionally has accidents, Boyd is improving his house-training skills. He currently lives in Grant, NE, and is waiting for a loving family to provide him with the care he deserves.
About Boyd
Boyd came to us from a tragic neglect situation, where he and other dogs were found in cages without adequate food or clean water. Despite this tough past, Boyd has proven to be a mellow and easygoing companion. He knows how to sit, walks well on a leash, and enjoys human attention. The road to recovery is ongoing. Boyd has been neutered and has started heartworm treatment, which requires a few months to complete. However, he can be adopted now, with the understanding that his new family will need to bring him back for his remaining treatment sessions. He's been working on his housebreaking skills and is improving steadily. Given his past, it's understandable that he occasionally has accidents, but he's learning that a clean space is possible. Boyd has already shown he can get along well with cats and children, making him a great candidate for a loving home. Introduction to other dogs should be gradual, as he is still adjusting to a safe environment. Boyd is truly beginning to enjoy the comforts of home life, and he needs a patient family to help him continue this journey. He’s ready to discover what it really feels like to be loved.
