Dog's Name: Pup Grapefruit (GRA0926ALAMD) Estimated Breed: Lab / Pit Bull mix Approximate Age: 16-18 weeks Approximate Weight: 20-25 lbs Currently Living at: Boarding Adoption Fee: $500 DOG'S DESCRIPTION: Hi! I'm Pup Grapefruit! I'm one of five adorable pups in the Fruit Litter — Apple, Strawberry, Lemon, Banana, and Grapefruit. We look like we might be Lab/Pit Bull mixes, but our exact recipe is a mystery. One thing everyone knows for sure? We are 100% sweet! Sadly, my siblings and I have spent our puppyhood growing up in a shelter in Alabama. That's no place for a puppy, and I'm more than ready to trade shelter life for a loving home of my very own. I have so much love to give — I just need someone to give it to! I'm excellent with other dogs and at the perfect age for training, socialization, and learning all the important things a good family pup needs to know. Most of all, I'm ready to discover what it's like to have a family, a cozy place to sleep, and people who will love me forever. I promise to bring plenty of puppy fun, unconditional love, and joy into your life. Could my forever home be with you? Apply today and come meet me! Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family. Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet. Foster Program: Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.
