About Carter
Carter is a five-to-six-year-old Labrador Retriever mix who’s spent much of his life unsure of new things. He’s got a deep chocolate coat, quiet demeanor, and once he settles into his routine and surroundings, a gentle side that starts to emerge. Carter does best with patient people who understand that trust takes time. Homes with lots of activity or city noise overwhelm him. What Carter really needs is a calm, rural home with a large, fenced yard, somewhere he can relax and safely take the world at his own pace. He’s incredibly dog friendly and lights up playing with other dogs, especially his buddy Violet. Another confident dog in the home will help Carter come out of his shell even more. Apartment life is out; he wants space, a steady schedule, and a yard to run in. Carter will need a refresher on house training. If you’re steady, calm, and want a loyal partner who thrives on routine and canine pals, Carter just might be a great fit. Fun fact: Carter is a Virgo, meaning he’s likely to be especially thoughtful and observant. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
