About Percy
Percy has made remarkable strides and it's heartwarming to see his transformation. When he first arrived, this four-year-old Border Collie was quite fearful, particularly around men, often retreating or becoming anxious in their presence. With patience and love, he's slowly realizing that he’s safe now. Today, Percy enjoys sitting beside his foster family, seeking affection and even offering sweet hugs and kisses. He's become much more comfortable with their adult dog and has been wonderful around their grandson, though he still experiences some nerves that he's learning to manage. Percy is highly intelligent and energetic, with a passion for playing ball and running in the yard. He's excellent on a leash and does well on a tie-out, but he'd thrive in a home with a fenced yard. House trained, Percy is working on his anxiety-related accidents when he feels nervous, but he's improving with the help of belly bands. He’s also kennel trained and appreciates having a cozy den-like space. Witnessing Percy gradually reveal his playful and loving side has been a joy. He has so much love to share and is eager to find a patient forever home where he can continue to grow and flourish.
