About Lex

Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now! Lex is a charming mixed-breed guy who found safety after being left unclaimed at the city pound. With a blend of breeds that might include shepherd, boxer, Catahoula, and maybe even a touch of border collie, he's a true genetic mystery! Lex is estimated to be 1–2 years old, has been fully vetted, microchipped, and is eager for a fresh start. Though he may start off a bit shy, Lex quickly transforms into an affectionate lovebug once he gets to know you. He has youthful energy and will benefit from plenty of exercise and basic trainingβ€”as he's eager to learn and please. At this time, Lex should be the only dog in his new home until he settles in with some training. He's not a match for homes with cats or smaller animals. Please note: Adoptions are by private appointment after application approval. Potential adopters should be at least 21 years old and have any resident dogs up to date on vaccinations, heartworm testing, and spayed or neutered. Lex is located at the Mower County Humane Society in Austin, MN, right next to the airport for your convenience. Make their next chapter their best one yet.
