About Louie the Great
Meet Louie the Great, a charming 7-year-old neutered male Great Pyrenees and Australian Cattle Dog mix weighing around 65 lbs. Louie, originally from Texas, has a beautiful soft coat and adorably unique ears that make him hard to resist. He’s a laid-back fella who relishes being near his family, lounging wherever they are. House trained and crate trained, Louie knows commands and experiences no separation anxiety, making him a delightful companion. True to his breeds, he's loyal and loving with his family but takes his time getting to know new people and pets. On walks, he does well with other dogs, and thanks to some professional training, Louie now walks nicely on a leash. While he has lived with cats, he does have a chase instinct towards small animals; thus, a dog-savvy cat and careful introductions would be ideal. Louie enjoys occasional belly rubs and short walks, leaning more towards a moderate energy level, typical of a Great Pyrenees. A home with strong leadership and experience with guardian breeds will help him thrive. Please note, Louie’s adoption will be through STIC K9 Collective with a one-month trial that includes training sessions. Adopt today and click apply to start the adoption process!
