Meet Ghost, an adorable 11-year-old Yorkshire Terrier from Minneapolis, MN. Weighing in at about 6 pounds, this little guy may be a senior, but he has plenty of energy. Ghost loves his short walks and car rides, but his favorite thing is being with his person. He adjusts easily to new environments and immediately made himself at home with his foster family, snuggling up with them on his first night. An affectionate little shadow, Ghost quickly bonds with his people and loves to follow them around the house. When it’s time to snuggle, he’s happiest curled up on a lap or resting his head on a shoulder. His charming trick involves spinning in circles and barking when he wants to go outside or be picked up. Ghost is house-trained and will let you know when he needs to go. However, he requires frequent potty breaks. His vocal nature and occasional separation anxiety mean he’d thrive best in a home where someone is around most of the time. He wouldn’t be a good fit for apartments or townhomes but would flourish in a single-family home. He gets along well with small dogs, especially those around 15 pounds or less, but can be nervous around larger dogs. His foster home had no children, so older, respectful kids aged 13 and up would be a better match for him. Ghost prefers soft, chewy treats and enjoys two short walks each day. His curious nature means he must be kept on a leash outside due to his tendency to wander. Ghost’s affectionate nature and desire to be close to his humans make him a delightful companion.
