She's a very happy girl who gets excited to meet new people. She gets attached to her person and wants to be with them whenever she can. She came from Mexico where she was a stray. She is working on crate training and house training and needs a family willing to continue this with her. She is great with other dogs and is curious in nature. Peppermint Patty has some additional mobility around her back hips and kneecaps. She is not currently recommended for surgery but may need it in the future. She is recommended to stay on the slim side and is recommended to have daily joint supplements. Our fosters do the best they can to provide all information about the animal's background and temperament while in foster care in their home. An adopters routine and home environment is likely going to be different than that in their foster home. Sometimes there is more that comes out about a dog's personality once they have been able to settle in a home and truly become comfortable. There are great articles out there written about the different stages a pet goes through after adoption, discussing transitions that happen at 3 days, 3 weeks, and 3 months.
