Meet Lea Lea! This adorable 11-year-old Maltese has captured hearts already. Weighing just 4 pounds, she came to us when her previous owner could no longer care for her. After undergoing surgery to repair a hernia, Lea Lea has fully healed and is now ready to find her forever home. Despite her age, she still brings plenty of energy and sass to the table. Lea Lea loves the company of new people, soaking up attention, and being cuddled. When she's not making friends, she enjoys her cozy bed for a good snooze. She gets along well with calm older dogs, though puppies and large breeds aren’t her cup of tea. Lea Lea is both leash and crate trained and appreciates car rides. While she prefers to go potty outside, she isn't always consistent, so using potty pads is recommended. One of her favorite outings involves TNP visits, where she enjoys making new friends. Given her small size, a quieter home without young children is ideal for Lea Lea. She would make a wonderful companion for seniors or anyone wanting a sweet little shadow. With a unique requirement for a soft-food-only diet due to her lack of a lower jaw, she’ll need special care. Lea Lea is already spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, and has tested negative for heartworm. Daily eye medication is necessary to keep her eyes healthy, and as a senior, semi-annual vet check-ups will help maintain her well-being.
