About Vada
Vada was discovered as a tiny 8-week-old stray in Kankakee and ended up at Kankakee Animal Control before finding her way into the care of IPR. Now she's happily settled in foster care, exploring the joys of puppy life, which includes playing, snacking, soaking up the sun, and squeezing into any snug spot she can find. This playful puppy has a knack for snuggling and enjoys running in the yard, playing with toys, and making new friends of all ages. From infants to adults, Vada has a friendly demeanor that wins everyone over. Once playtime is over, she's ready to curl up and nap, often in the tightest of spaces—if she fits, she sits. Vada is already crate trained and has claimed her cozy nook as her special place. It's not uncommon to find her relaxing in her crate, enjoying some alone time. She’s a quick learner, mastering commands like sit, and she's engaged in learning more, including recall and manners. Although potty training is still ongoing, that’s typical for a puppy her age. Vada plays well with dogs of all sizes and would thrive with a canine companion, though her relationship with cats remains untested. Her ideal family will recognize that puppies require training, plenty of play, snacks, love, and a comfortable spot for downtime when her energy runs low.
