Meet Smokey Road Warriors, a sweet and gentle boy with a huge purr and an even bigger heart. He's the cuddliest little guy who goes limp when picked up, instantly rewarding you with his comforting purr. As the first of his litter to be rescued, he developed a strong bond with humans, even displaying a charming habit of wanting to nurse on his person after being weaned from the bottle. That attachment remains, making him highly affectionate. Full of playful energy, Smokey enjoys games of tag, feather wand antics, and relentless toy mouse hunts. His beautiful ticked tabby coat is soft and blends shades of salt and pepper. He thrives best in the company of others, ideally with one of his siblings — Sierra, Nevada, San Juan, or a fellow playful companion. Having lived harmoniously with four adult cats and even shared space with dogs, he adapts well to different temperaments. Smokey's adventurous start began when he was born to a stray mother in a Salem apartment complex. He once found refuge in a Mustang's engine compartment, riding along on at least one car trip until he was rescued. Now, having retired from a life of wandering, he’s ready for his next adventure — a loving home filled with snuggles, toys to conquer, and ideally, a friend to share it all with.
