Hey! I'm Perla! I'm a special kitty looking for a special person to give me lots of love! I really don't like new or scary situations and when in a fight-or-flight situation I choose fight! My person had to give me up when they were hospitalized with an injury and weren't going to be able to take care of me anymore. I get very bonded with my person and will be sweet to other people but in new situations like the shelter or when my Emotional Support Person is not there I can lash out with hissing, swatting, and biting when I'm scared. I love to play! I especially love string toys but I do try to eat them so I can't have them left out. I love dry food. I love to sit in a lap and I will lick your hand or face when I'm happy. Sometimes I just don't want petting and may swat you if I don't know you well. I would not be a good fit for a home with kids and I don't like other cats either.
