Meet Opal, a 4-year-old spayed female German Shepherd in Tulsa, OK. After a loving two-year stay in a home, she’s back with us, ready to find a new family who will cherish her. Opal is playful and good-natured. Her previous owner described her as a good girl who minds very well. She enjoys running along the fence line with the neighbor dogs and has a great enthusiasm for toys. Though she felt uncertain during her initial vet visit after returning, that's not the true Opal. Once she settles in, her bright spirit shines through. Opal has a unique condition where she has an extra vertebra, which causes some mild issues in her lower back. She can walk and run, but her activity needs to be managed. Opal prefers to avoid stairs and may require a little assistance getting into vehicles. Despite these challenges, she responds well to medication and supplements. Plus, she’s heartworm negative! Opal knows sit, down, and stay, and she’s fully house and crate trained.
