About Shep

Meet Shep! At around three years old, Shep is a loyal and playful German Shepherd ready to find his forever home. After a successful transition from SPACAR Animal Advocates, Shep blossomed from a challenging start into a joyful companion, overcoming his separation anxiety and mastering obedience skills like sit, down, and recall. Shep loves to run and requires ample space with a sturdy 6-foot fence—he can easily clear four feet due to his energetic spirit. Water is another passion of his; whether it’s a pool or puddle, he’s all in. He bonds quickly, forming deep connections and truly valuing companionship. While he's good with older kids and prefers the company of dogs his own size, he does not get along with cats or small animals. This wonderful dog has shown resilience and adaptability, but he does need an experienced owner who understands German Shepherd traits. Shep's past requires someone to help him thrive, especially with his demonstrated need for ongoing support which includes some recent liver health monitoring. With regular exercise and a commitment to his training, Shep has the potential to make life with him truly rewarding. He’s looking for a loving, active home that can appreciate his unique nature and strengthen the progress he’s made. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
