About Luke
Luke is a 5-year-old neutered male German Shepherd mix with a sharp mind and high energy. Weighing around 72 lbs, he has a large personality and a serious love for hands-on training, play, and structure. Luke's at his best when he can channel his brain and energy into games, fetch, tug, and showing off an impressive list of tricks—especially when treats are on the table. Since his intensive board and train at JPK9 Oklahoma, Luke's redirection challenges have improved, but he needs a committed, experienced adopter who can provide firm boundaries, consistency, and continued engagement. He’s highly food motivated, crate trained, and knows a ton of commands. Weekly JPK9 group classes remain available to help him keep progressing. Luke cannot go to a home with cats, small dogs, or other small animals due to his prey drive and reactivity. He’s not recommended for homes with children. His sensitive stomach and history of chewing require supervision and ongoing management, but with people he trusts, Luke is affectionate, bright, and eager. Luke needs a human who loves training, routine, and understands that real progress takes patience and steadiness. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
