Eugene is looking for a special family to call his own. At approximately 6 years old and 17 lbs, he's a small bundle with a big heart. He was recently returned to Mostly Mutts after being adopted for a year, due to his previous owner needing to travel abroad. This transition has stressed him a bit, but the dedicated volunteers are helping him find his footing again. Eugene thrives on gentle attention and patience. He's not quite ready to play with other dogs yet but showed no aggression, making him a great candidate for a meet-and-greet with your pup. He previously cohabitated peacefully with a cat, but results can vary between individual animals. Given his sensitive nature, he's best suited for a home with kids aged 15 and up who understand boundaries. When warmed up, Eugene becomes a sweet lap dog, loving cuddles more than toys. He has some challenges with leashing, so he'll need a family that understands his signals and offers him time to get comfortable. With a calm family dynamic, he may even expand his social circle. Eugene enjoys car rides, treats (but has to watch his weight), and burrowing under blankets. He’s up to date with vaccinations, neutered, and doing well with potty training.
