Living in Portland, OR, she would thrive with an active owner who can provide regular exercise and attention. She gets along well with cats and is great with children.

About Frida

Frida is a delightful dog with a love for adventure. She enjoys going for walks and is well-behaved in a crate and during car rides. Housetrained and smart, she knows how to sit and shake. Frida would be thrilled to snuggle up in bed with her new owner. She gets along great with cats and is eager to play with the foster family's senior dogs, although they don't share her enthusiasm. She's highly motivated by treats, which will aid in fine-tuning her manners—she barks at other dogs out of excitement and tends to beg for food at the table. With a polite approach, she should also do well with respectful kids; she was wonderful around a toddler in the neighbor's home. Frida has an energetic spirit and will thrive in a home where she can go for regular walks or hikes. While she could potentially enjoy running, she may need some time to build up her stamina. Just a week ago, she had bladder stone surgery; her diet may need adjustment to prevent future stones. Her adoption fee is $300 and covers spaying, microchipping, and all necessary vaccinations. Northwest Animal Companions is an all-volunteer, non-profit rescue that ensures every penny of your fee goes towards the care of pets like Frida. Ready to fall in love?
