About Javier

Meet Javier, a 4-year-old Chihuahua and Miniature Pinscher mix living in Sherwood, Oregon. Weighing in at just 10 pounds, he brings a massive personality to the table. Javier is affectionate and loyal, always wanting to be close to his favorite person, even following you around the house. He has a love for car rides and enjoys paddle boarding and playing in the snow, thriving in any activity that includes his human. At home, he adores his kennel, which he sees as his safe place. Typically, he settles in for the night by 9 pm, sleeping soundly through until morning. While he is making great strides in house training, he has a bit of a marking habit when sharing space with other dogs. For this reason, he'd likely flourish as the only dog in his new home, soaking up all the attention he craves. Javier has minimal experience with cats and is friendly with older children, though he initially barks at them. He takes his role as a small neighborhood watchman seriously, alerting you when visitors arrive yet is not possessive over his food. This loving guy seeks a devoted owner who can offer him undivided companionship. If you want a small, cuddly friend who’ll be your shadow, Javier might just be the perfect match for you.
