John is a sweet, approximately 3-month-old Border Collie and Lab mix with a mellow personality. He greets people and other dogs in a calm manner, making him a delightful companion. With a love for snuggles and belly rubs, John quickly forms bonds with those he meets. He is currently crate training and doing well with potty training; he enjoys napping in his crate. While he is still learning leash skills, his motivation for food makes training a breeze. He responds well to positive reinforcement and is already mastering commands like 'come' and 'sit.' John is also great at using his nose to find toys and treats around the house, showing off his potential for scent work. In his foster home in Hood River, Oregon, John gets along well with the resident cat and prefers to communicate with a few puppy whines rather than barking.
