After spending way too much time in a less-than-ideal shelter in California, he’s eager to embrace life with a loving family. This young pup might still be mastering a few manners, but he's already a pro at leash walking and has demonstrated he's house trained through a dog door. At around 40 pounds, Slate is a tall and slender guy who sometimes forgets he’s not a little puppy anymore. He’s friendly and sociable, thriving in the company of other dogs and likely best suited for older kids who can match his zest for life. Neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and dewormed, Slate is ready to find a forever home where he can learn, explore, and enjoy plenty of outdoor adventures.
