He enjoys cuddling, sitting in laps, and burrowing under the covers at night. Due to his timid nature, Trooper is best suited for a home with children aged 16 or older. A patient adopter who understands fearful dogs will help him build confidence at his own pace. Going slowly and creating a safe environment is key. Trooper is quite vocal, so a home without shared walls is necessary, along with a secure, fenced yard, as he may run if scared. He enjoys being outside and getting along with other dogs, but he would also be happy as your one and only. Trooper's foster mom describes him as a loving and loyal dog who requires a bit of time to warm up.
