About Jack

Meet Jack, also known as SURVIVOR JACK, a resilient and friendly Labrador Retriever. Jack joined the rescue after a rocky start at the Animal Friends of the Valley shelter, where he quickly became a favorite among staff and volunteers. He was initially left at the shelter as a puppy and later adopted, but after facing health challenges and some changes in his family's life, he found himself back in the shelter at the age of four. His previous family shared that he is energetic, housebroken, and great with adults. Jack does need a bit of encouragement to go outside for bathroom breaks. He genuinely enjoys the company of other dogs but is not great around cats. Jack is well-behaved in the car, and doesnโ€™t jump or dig around the yard. His playful spirit shines through during walks and when playing fetch. Jack is a little fearful of loud noises like fireworks, but with time and care, he'll settle in beautifully with the right family. After a tough two months at the shelter, Jack is ready to find his forever home. If you're interested in welcoming him into your life, consider filling out an application.
