Marilynn is a petite, athletic Lab mix with a story that could’ve ended very differently. She entered the shelter as a stray—very pregnant—and we were told if rescue didn’t step in, her puppies would be spay-aborted. So we said yes. Just 34 hours after leaving the shelter and settling into her foster home, Marilynn gave birth to ten puppies. She sadly lost one, but has been an incredible, devoted mama to the rest. Once her puppies are weaned, it’s Marilynn’s turn for her happily ever after—but she will also need a new foster home at that time. We would love to keep her out of boarding and give her the chance to decompress in a home environment. Marilynn is sweet, people-loving, and forms a strong bond with her humans. She lives for approval and cuddles, takes verbal correction well, and walks decently on leash. She wants to be close to her person and can struggle with being left alone, so a home that can provide consistency, structure, and companionship will be key. But don’t let her petite size fool you—this girl is agile and can be a bit of an escape artist, so she’ll need a secure home and yard to keep her safe. She appears to be potty trained, is friendly with people she meets, and is ready to trade in her “mama” duties for a life where she gets to be someone’s baby.
