AvailableVenus is a female Labrador Retriever and adult in life. She’s a large dog currently located in San Diego, CA. Venus is both dog friendly and cat friendly.
About Venus
Venus came into a busy shelter with a litter of puppies. She did everything she could to keep her pups safe, but after they found homes, Venus got left behind in the noise and chaos. Overlooked because of her age and color, she almost ran out of time before rescue arrived at the last minute. Venus gets along with dogs, cats, and people, though she may be shy at first. Once she feels comfortable, Venus enjoys walks and attention from those she trusts. She’s a clever, resourceful girl. After once escaping from her foster home, Venus managed to survive outside on her own for a week before being found again, showing both how street-smart and determined she can be. Because of her escape skills, Venus needs a home that can keep her safe—never leave her unattended in a yard, and take extra care with doors, baby gates, and crates. Her future family should have the patience and structure to help Venus feel secure and finally settle into the good life she deserves. If you want to meet Venus, she’s in San Diego, CA, ready for her next chapter. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
