About Homer

Homer is pure comic relief in a dog’s body. He lives for sunshine, company, and a soft spot to flop down quietly in a fenced yard. When outside, he keeps cool and lets the world drift by, happy to watch you work or just nap nearby. Give him some space and he melts right into the background, soaking it all in peacefully. But snap on a leash and you’ll see a different side—Olympic-level speed walking with a healthy disregard for anything slower than full tilt. He’s got plenty of strength, and leash manners need some work, so he’ll do best with someone willing to put in a bit of training. After months in a noisy shelter, Homer has finally learned how to relax and trust again. He’s consistent with keeping his kennel spotless and proves himself every day as a laid-back, cuddly friend. Tug-of-war and quiet afternoons are his speed. Homer must be the only dog in the house and doesn’t do well with cats, but he enjoys time with children and settles down beautifully at home. Neutered, vaccinated, and ready for a second chance, he just needs the right fit. Your yard and your heart might be what he’s waited for. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
