Meet Toast! Toast is a charming 9-week-old puppy with a striking dark brown coat and a vibrant personality. Born on June 26, 2026, he currently weighs around 8 pounds and is one of Athena's ten adorable puppies. While Athena appears to be a Pit Bull mix weighing about 60 pounds, the exact breed mix remains a delightful mystery; a DNA test is in the works to uncover more. Toast is an adventurous little fellow. He was the first to master stairs and thrives on curiosity. Though he's one of the smaller pups, he’s expected to grow into a large dog, likely around his mom’s size. His new home needs a safely fenced yard where he can dash, play, and explore while expending that puppy energy. This lovable boy is at the perfect age to learn everything a good family dog needs. His new family will need to focus on house training, socialization, and basic commands using positive reinforcement. With patience, consistency, and supervision, Toast will grow into a wonderful companion. He’s already neutered, microchipped, and up to date on his first distemper/parvo vaccine. His adopter will need to keep up with two more distemper/parvo vaccines and a rabies vaccine when he turns 16 weeks. Toast is eager to meet families who are ready for puppy playtime, kisses, and all the joy of raising a young dog. Adopters must live within a two-hour radius of Cedar Rapids, IA. Indoor homes only.
