Meet Gina! Gina is a 1-year-old spayed female Belgian Malinois mix, weighing 56 lbs, currently in a foster home in Houston, TX. This sweet girl has a bit of a rough past; she was found as a tiny puppy, dumped on the street and sleeping in a cardboard box by a busy road. Thanks to her amazing foster, Gina is now ready to find her forever home! Gina thrives in the company of fellow dogs, especially during games of tug-of-war and fetch. While she's friendly with smaller dogs, she needs slow introductions to larger dogs and can be cautious around them. Because of a previous attack by larger dogs, she’s not the best fit for homes with kitty companions; she can be overly enthusiastic around them. Gina seeks human companionship and enjoys the company of older children (10 and up), as she's not always aware of her own size and can be jumpy. An active home that can keep her engaged would be ideal; she has a ton of puppy energy to burn off. Gina is house and crate trained, comfortable staying in her crate for up to 8 hours, and walks well on a leash with no signs of separation anxiety.
