About Rain
Rain is a delightful 6-year-old female miniature poodle who came into our program from a breeder. Weighing just 10 pounds, she’s the perfect lap companion. Rain is very affectionate and has spent her life with other small dogs, so she’ll thrive best in a home where someone is frequently around or with another playful small dog for company. While she'd likely do well with older, respectful children aged 10 and up, she doesn’t have any experience with cats. Rain has shown excellent bathroom habits in her foster home, going out first thing in the morning and every few hours until bedtime. Currently, she sleeps in a spacious crate, but would love to cuddle up in bed with you, perhaps with a set of doggie steps to help her. She's mastering using steps, but the fewer there are in her new home, the better. This little sweetheart is responsive and knows her name, coming when called. She doesn’t pull on a leash and enjoys car rides. Rain barks appropriately, greeting visitors but otherwise stays quiet. While she likes an occasional Greenie to chew, she’s good about not chewing on inappropriate items. Rain has some missing front teeth, which doesn’t affect her spirit or appetite—her foster helps by soaking her dry kibble. With her charming personality and loving nature, Rain is sure to make anyone feel special. Rain is spayed, current on vaccinations, and her heartworm test came back negative. Grooming every 4-6 months is necessary, so please consider this ongoing expense. The adoption fee is $400. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
