He's super affectionate and friendly. He's a goofy, bouncy boy who is light hearted and loves to play. Nelson is good with other dogs. Nelson came to us covered in fleas, and his skin and coat show the damage left behind. The poor guy was so itchy. Nelson is a trooper, though, and doesn't let it stop him from loving life. We've got him on some meds to help with the itching and help the wounds heal. He'll be a beauty once his coat and skin are healed up and healthy. Nelson is a 2 year old Pit Bull mix. He weighs 56 lbs. ADOPTING A DOG Our dogs have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped and tested for heartworms (if 7 months or older). If you have a dog or children we ask that you bring them with you to meet our dogs to make sure it is a good match. We are open for meet and greet adoptions at our shelter on weekends. No appointment is necessary for weekend adoptions. Our weekend hours vary and we also have satellite adoption events every weekend.
