About Ohio Joe
Meet Ohio Joe, a sweet soul who made his way from Ohio after a fire forced him and his family to separate. He spent his earlier years with two older humans and dog siblings, and while the change was unexpected, Joe has taken it in stride. He’s a major snuggler—there’s nothing he’d rather do than curl up close on a soft couch with cozy blankets. Joe is thrilled by food, motivated by treats, and has mastered the art of the “sit” for a tasty reward. He’s crate trained, and with a little treat coaxing he’s happy to settle in for some downtime. At about 45 pounds, Joe is the picture of a comfortable, medium-sized companion. His age is estimated between 8 and 10, but he’s still eager to be part of daily life. He gets along with other dogs, though he hasn’t told us how he feels about children or cats. If you’re hoping for a calm, affectionate buddy who lives for cuddles and company, Joe might just be your guy. Your new best friend is just one click away.

Questions about Ohio Joe
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Ohio Joe, as an American Bulldog/Pit Bull Terrier mix, generally thrives in homes that can provide regular companionship and affection. He would enjoy a stable setting where he can snuggle with his person and have a comfortable spot to relax.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
A medium-sized breed like Ohio Joe benefits from access to a yard or regular walks, but he’s also content lounging inside as long as his exercise needs are met. A fenced yard is a plus, but not essential with enough walks and play.
