About Juno
Juno is a 1-year-old, 42-pound Border Collie/Australian Shepherd mix with a real affection for his canine companions. He thrives when surrounded by other dogs and would be happiest in a home with a friendly, playful pet to share his adventures. His backstory isn't the easiest. Juno was mistreated and found himself abandoned, which has made him cautious around new people. However, he warms up quickly to those he knows, becoming more relaxed and joyful once trust is built. His ideal home is quiet and low-key, preferably with one adult. Children make him uneasy; he doesn't do well with their sudden movements. Juno craves a peaceful atmosphere where he can feel secure and truly be himself. Despite his cautious nature around humans, Juno is quite athletic and loves to show off his fetching skills, making him a delightful companion for outdoor activities. He walks well on a leash, showcasing his energy and agility. Juno is housetrained and exhibits good house manners, enjoying the freedom of roaming in a safe indoor space when left alone. His new home should feature a physically fenced yard where he can run and play safely. A few good games of fetch will keep him entertained and happy! Adoption isn’t just about taking in a dog; it’s about understanding. Juno needs someone patient who respects his boundaries and allows him to form connections at his own pace. If you're looking for an athletic and playful dog who prefers the company of other dogs and appreciates a calm life, Juno might just be the perfect match for you. If you'd like to meet him, please fill out an adoption application.
