PLEASE READ FULLY BEFORE INQUIRING – WE RESPOND FIRST TO THOSE WHO PUT IN AN ADOPTION APPLICATION TJ IS CURRENTLY FOSTERED BETWEEN CEDAR RAPIDS AND WATERLOO, IOWA. TJ is a Border Collie/Australian Shepherd mix puppy who is looking for a forever family of his own. He is a super sweet boy with a gentle, happy personality and all the makings of a wonderful family dog. TJ absolutely loves children and soft squeaky toys. He is affectionate, playful, and enjoys being included in whatever his people are doing. He also does well with other dogs and cats. TJ is doing very well with potty training and has not had any accidents in the house so far, although his foster is diligent about giving him frequent potty breaks. He goes promptly when taken outside. He is also doing well with crate training and can make it through the night without accidents. During the day, he does best when let out about every 4–6 hours or given frequent potty breaks when loose in the house. TJ is currently working on leash manners and already knows “sit.” Like any puppy, he is still learning and will benefit from continued consistency, patience, and positive reinforcement as he grows. Adoption Information: All puppies have typical energy levels and require a dedicated adopter who is willing to invest time and effort into training. While we strive to start the potty-training process, please keep in mind that puppies this age are not guaranteed to be fully house trained. This is an excellent age to introduce him to children and other animals, as early socialization is key to his development! TJ will be adopted under a neuter contract, with an adoption fee of $500. $100 of this fee will be reimbursed upon proof of neuter. He is up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations, on monthly preventative, dewormed, and microchipped. If you’re interested in giving TJ the forever home he deserves, please complete our adoption application linked below. Thank you for considering adoption!
