Reggie is a handsome Corgi about 2 years old who was found as a stray in Kansas and has not been reclaimed. This fit and sturdy boy weighs around 30 pounds. At first, he may need some time to adjust, but he's generally friendly and has a calm temperament, though he can be a little anxious in new situations. He enjoys going for walks, but can pull a bit on the leash. Reggie gets along well with other dogs, although he hasn't been tested with cats or children yet. His sweet nature means he might be suitable for a calm child aged 8 or older. Although someone had his vocal cords severed, Reggie still makes his voice heard when excited. He wouldn't be the best fit for apartment living. Reggie is mostly potty trained, but he requires some supervision and gentle reminders. He wears a belly band when unsupervised as a helpful way to remind him not to lift his leg indoors. Preferring to stay close to his person, Reggie would thrive with someone who is often home and has a fenced-in yard. He can get overstimulated in multi-dog settings, so we recommend a calm home. A basic manners class and some positive reinforcement will help him adjust better. Reggie can be stressed in unfamiliar situations, leading to barking and panting, so he needs someone patient to reassure him.
