Tasha is a sweet, 3-year-old Chihuahua who knows what it means to be resilient. She arrived at the Stanislaus shelter as part of an animal welfare case, where she received the care she deserved. With the legal processes complete, she’s ready to find her forever home. Though Tasha can be a little shy at first, she blossoms with the right affection and patience. She has formed a bond with her foster mom and the resident dog, though she is still cautious around men. Tasha enjoys spending time in the yard, with her favorite pastime being chasing butterflies. She's getting the hang of being in a crate and is about 90% potty trained. Ideally, she would flourish in a home with another dog and without young children, as she can be easily startled by sudden noises. While Tasha has yet to venture out for leash walks, she’s gaining confidence day by day. When she’s not playing with toys, she loves cuddling up for a cozy evening watching TV.
