Mango is a delightful 3-year-old, 9-pound Schnauzer mix brought to the shelter as a stray alongside her friend Quince, the Chihuahua. Initially overwhelmed by the shelter's noise and activity, she found comfort in a quieter space and quickly revealed her affectionate side, cuddling up in laps. This sweet, scruffy girl has come a long way since arriving from California and exhibits an endearing personality. Known as "MISS Mango" by her foster family, she is fun-loving and sensitive. Mango enjoys snuggling and often shares her favorite spots on the couch or bed with her human and resident dog. While she thrives with other pups around, gaining confidence from them, she can still feel anxious when alone and may need a home with a yard to help ease her worries. Although she’s done well around toddlers, she would likely do best with older, dog-savvy kids. Mango is intelligent and eager to learn. She's currently mastering basic obedience skills and enjoys working for high-value treats. Regular training would not only help strengthen her bond with a new family but also channel her energy positively. Mango has a playful side, finding joy in shredding activities—she loves to explore and get creative with her toys. This little cuddle-bug will keep anyone entertained with her playful antics, especially in the yard where her spirit truly shines. She's not just a lovable companion but also a joy to groom, handling baths and trims like a champ.
