Maggie is a stunning young lady who needs your help! At just 2 years old, she has recently been diagnosed with heartworms. While that may sound daunting, it’s important to know that heartworms are not contagious and can be effectively treated. She will begin her treatment soon, and we want to find her a loving home before that happens so she can settle in and show you her playful side before treatment begins. Maggie is an Anatolian Shepherd mix, which means she’s a smart and energetic girl with a love for treats, toys, and even socks — so watch out! She’s not exactly graceful due to her enthusiastic nature, making her best suited for a home with children aged 8 and up. Maggie enjoys the company of other dogs but firmly believes cats are not her friends. Currently, she’s gotten used to using potty pads, so a little patience may be needed as she adapts to a new outside routine. She already knows how to roam freely in her space when her humans are gone, and when it’s time to wind down, she’s all about snuggling up on the couch or your bed.
