Muffin is a charming 2-year-old female black Labrador mix weighing 45 pounds. She joined our program after being rescued from the Modesto shelter, where she arrived as a stray with a broken left rear tibia after likely being struck by a car. Thankfully, she received prompt medical attention, including surgery to stabilize her tibia with a titanium plate. Currently, Muffin is in recovery. She's been housed in a large x-pen with access to a doggie door for her bathroom needs, and she's been outstanding—no accidents at all indoors. Muffin enjoys spending time with her foster dog sibling, Blackjack, although her leg healing means she must take things slow. Affectionate and snuggly, her favorite place is lounging on the couch with her head in someone's lap, basking in belly rubs. She has one brown eye and one blue eye, making her even more distinctive. Muffin is fully vaccinated, spayed, and microchipped. She’s on a recovery plan and has a slight overbite, which is not a concern according to the vet. This delightful dog is well-suited for families, including those with children and dogs. She's currently located in San Francisco, CA, and is ready for her forever home.
