Baxter found himself in a tough spot when he was brought to the Stanislaus shelter, part of an accidental litter of 11 puppies. While most of his siblings were rescued, Baxter was overlooked and placed on the red list for euthanasia due to his youth and the shelter's overcrowding. Thankfully, we stepped in to give this sweet, timid puppy a second chance. Now safe, Baxter is eager for a loving home where he can thrive. After a few days of settling in, his playful personality began to emerge. He has been house trained, politely barking to go outside, and sleeps soundly in his kennel at night. Baxter gets along well with other dogs and shows a shy curiosity towards new people, quickly warming up once he feels secure. He’s also shown a knack for self-entertainment and enjoys playful interactions. Being just a puppy, Baxter is still learning but has already showcased his potential for becoming an incredible companion. He needs a family who will commit to his ongoing training.
