Meet Meemaw, a wonderful 6-year-old Golden Retriever weighing around 80 pounds. She is as sweet as they come, often nuzzling up to new friends for affection and then settling at their feet for comfort. Although she’s still finding her footing in her foster home, she’s getting along well with the resident dog after a gentle introduction. However, Meemaw may not be the best fit for households with cats; she would thrive in a home with children who can appreciate her size and strength. Meemaw is making excellent progress with potty training and is ready for more freedom, though her foster family is helping her adapt to crate time. She’s a strong girl, so expect to put in some work on her leash manners. Additionally, she hasn't quite mastered getting in and out of cars by herself yet and will need a lift for now. Meemaw’s favorite activity is sticking close to her humans, eagerly seeking love, belly rubs, and chin scratches. She is waiting for a family that can shower her with affection.
